About Boise Kennels

Boise Kennels was established in 1939 and has been providing love and care to clients throughout the Treasure Valley for over 80 years!

Gina, James, and their son Cody have been pet parents their entire lives and, within the last few years, have dedicated their lives to pet care, training, and breeding.

It all started when a family member reached out about some Labrador Retriever puppies they were going to have. Rick (Gina’s dad) got a chocolate lab puppy named Dixie. He went on to learn how to train service dogs for disabled veterans.

This created a snowball effect, and Gina decided to get a puppy from their next litter, a black lab named Shadow, with plans to breed her with help from James and to get Shadow service dog certified.

James and Gina, finding their new calling, then sold their business to purchase Boise Kennels.

Seeing the amount of passion in his parents, Cody decided to leave his job to join his parents on their new adventure.

Soon afterwards, James and Cody started learning how to do bite work and principles for training. Although this was brief, the amount of knowledge that was exchanged for catching an 80 lb Malinois named Ace was priceless.

This is just the beginning. The Inglands have big plans for their small business and would love to have you join them!
